The Lindsborg Sesquicentennial Committee held an event – Lindsborg Legacy in Story and Song – on Wednesday, February 20, at 7:00 p.m., in the A. J. Steinberg Auditorium. In 1869, this was the date of the official naming of Lindsborg.
The program included 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students with the inaugural performance of Lindsborg‘s new song, “Kära Lindsborg Mitt Hem” (Dearest Lindsborg My Home), written by Mike and Rose Marie Wallen.
The Lindsborg Swedish Folk Dancers joined the grade school students in singing “Trygarre” and provided folk fiddle music during the “cakeluck” reception.
